Bank Holiday fun in the Sun

Chow Down
Why not take a trip to the magnificent Piece Hall, as the last Chow Down of 2019 takes over this awe-inspiring, Grade I-listed 18th Century former cloth hall.
With 18 food traders, we’ve got a roster of award-winners. From Nasi Lemak to the brand new YOI Fried Chicken, to the juicy burgers from Little Red Food Truck and the incongruously tasty Yorkshire Burrito, we’ve got your tummy full, whatever your munch preferences and dietary requirements. Dessert is covered too, with our faves Sugar Spun Sisters and Froconut. Wash it all down with some chilled prosecco, a range of craft beers or just a lovely pint of Schöfferhofer. Kids get free activities on Saturday and Sunday, and there will be DJs and roaming bands too.

The weekly #EatNorth food fair at North Brew Co has been having a few fun specials throughout 2019. From #CheeseNorth (the second most popular instalment ever) to #SeaNorth but wait…. What is happening to celebrate August Bank Holiday?
Fondue? Vol-au-vents? Chicken Kievs? 80s music? HELL YEAH!
#EatNorth goes in for an 80s fun-filled Saturday (and we will all pray that the sun is out). Fancy Dress is encouraged, as is drinking good beer and having a cheeky 80s-inspired cocktail.

LIVIN’Italy: ITALIAN SUMMER FESTA
This 25th August, LIVIN’Italy are bringing their ‘Bottomless Pizza’ party out to play for the first time. BOTTOMLESS PIZZA. Imagine. Give us a slice (or ten)! Not only is the pizza neverending, but they will also be running a wonderful cocktail masterclass and two extra cocktails. All this for £20 (without the masterclass) or £25 (with masterclass).

Mikkeller weekender – Turk’s Head
Turk’s Head have a fantastic opening weekend of events lined up for Leeds Beer Week, with this tap takeover. We are warning you – this might go nuts, and they only have so much beer.
The real icing on the cake is an exclusive release of a new Mikkeller addition to their Spontan range, which is being brought over specially for Leeds Beer Week.

Leeds Jurassic Trail
One of the last weekends that you can see the ridiculously popular Leeds Jurassic Trail. Grab your map and take a trip around Leeds to see these 5 life-sized dinosaurs. This is one for the kids – but big kids are also very much welcome. We love this project, and it’s so nice to see the shopping centres working together. Check the offers page and grab a kids dino meal from various partners across the city too, to make the most of this prehistoric party!
