From humble beginnings, Prashad has grown to become one of the best vegetarian restaurants in the UK. North West Indian recipes are front and centre here; inherited Gujarati recipes and flavours are refined and reimagined with a delicate hand and culinary skill.
Kaushy and Mohan Patel started Prashad in a Bradford side street in 1992. Their son Bobby then took the reins, and his wife Minal became Head Chef. She oversaw the restaurant crowned runner-up in Gordon Ramsay’s Britain’s Best Restaurant competition in 2010, and they’ve reaped countless awards since. They moved to Drighlington in 2012, and have lots up their sleeve for the coming year.
