Residential Real Estate Awards 2024 ‘The Yorkshires’ took place at the prestigious Royal Armouries (New Dock Hall) on the 17th of October. This remarkable event is more than just a celebration of excellence in Yorkshire’s thriving residential property sector – it serves as a powerful fundraising platform for the Yorkshire Children’s Charity, which aims to transform the lives of children across the region raising a brilliant £137,094 on the night. 

Bringing together developers, architects, agents, and industry leaders, the event showcased the very best in residential real estate. This year, the awards spotlighted the talent, dedication, and innovation that make Yorkshire indeed “God’s own country.” Categories range from Best Large Development and ESG Excellence to the coveted Lifetime Achievement Award, with all nominees playing a vital role in shaping the communities of tomorrow.

As Yorkshire continues to face rising child poverty levels, with the region ranked third-worst in the UK, events like ‘The Yorkshires.’ are critical in supporting the Yorkshire Children’s Charity. Proceeds from the awards will go directly to the charity’s programs, helping to provide essential services for the region’s most vulnerable children.

The architects of The Junction won Best in Build-to-Rent. Ian Emmerson from Carey Jones Chapman Tolcher, “As a Leeds-based practice, it’s amazing to support a massive Leeds-based Charity”
